“Fun Coloring Time!”
The pictures are cute and all animal-related. Definitely a great appeal for children between ages 2 to 6. A total of 24 colors are available for your child to color by tapping. To begin coloring, tap on the monkey in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Your child has the option of filling out the spaces in the picture using the Paintbrush method (as indicated by the paintbrush the monkey is holding) or the Spray-paint method, which is a very quick way to fill the spaces with various colors that your child selects. There are various shades of each color, hence providing lots of options for a wonderfully colorful picture. There is also an eraser available in case your child makes a mistake and would like to erase what was done. At the end of the project, your child and you can choose to take a picture of their completed work, as well as to send the picture by email to Grandpa, Grandma or whoever other loved ones in the family! You can talk about the completed picture and help your child build his/her vocabulary by discussing about the various parts of the picture with your child. Ask him/her questions about what the animal is doing, where the animal is at, and possibly how the animal could be feeling in the various pictures.
Help your child set the tone for the animal he/she is coloring. Ask your child how the different colors can create different moods for the picture. For instance, if your child chooses to color the cow red, versus multicolor or a plain shade of black - ask if your child thinks the animal feels angry, sad, creative, funky etc. This can be fun for helping your child develop his/her imaginative skills (although be careful not to set stereotypes with the color choices). :)
