This is an entertaining app for older children, related to the Halloween theme. There are 4 options for the number of pieces of puzzles: 5X5, 6X6, 7X7 and 8X8, as well as 40 different pictures to choose from. There is a magnifying glass function to help the player with finding the pieces. Tapping on the magnifying glass presents the player with the picture being worked on. There is also a timer to time the player as the puzzle is being worked on. This can be a good practice for children to figure out how things fit together, and pattern recognition to a certain extent. Something fun to do with your kid, especially in the Halloween season of pumpkin carving would be to use the same concept of a puzzle with pumpkins that do not turn out too well in your carving. This happens to a lot of people who don't use stencils and mess up their own designs, or cut too much into the pumpkin and breaking it. Recycle a 'damaged' pumpkin(hollow inside). Cut it up into different pieces (you can try different shapes) and then have your child reconstruct the actual pumpkin.
