An extremely wonderfully illustrated app with flashcards that cover 16 different categories, such as animals, clothings, colors, etc. This app is a great learning tool of over 170 everyday commonly used words. Through the vibrant colors and fine illustrations, your child will be bound to be captivated in his/her learning of new vocabulary. Parents can set the categories that you want your child to work on. If you feel your child needs to focus on a certain category, simply turn off the other categories temporarily. There's a lot of control for parents to help your kids with acquiring new vocabulary, or reinforcing previously learned words. The Test section is also fun-filled and just like the presentation session, parents can select categories for your child to work on. A good point about this app is the audio that accompanies the words. This is very important for the little ones that are learning new words, and really help with word recognition.
Family Activities
Select one category you would like to work on with your child. have your child make flashcards with you by drawing the pictures of the words learned from the app. Using a separate set of cards, create your own word cards to match the picture flashcards that you and your child have created. Play the matching game with your child, and see how many words your child can remember. For objects in the house or garden, let your child tag the word cards to the right objects.
