  This is a very comprehensive app to help young children read, write and speak English. The app strongly emphasizes pronunciation, which is important for ESL learners. The phonetic approach to teaching consonants, vowels and word segments is well thought out in the activities, with the pronunciation clear and easy to understand in a child's voice. A variety of fun activities is available to learn to recognize the alphabet and words, associating them with delightful artwork. The ""word family"" approach to teaching English provides essential building blocks for pronunciation and reading skills. Parents could easily join in with their children in this particular activity. Several different kinds of engaging activities that take advantage of the touch screen interface reinforce learning how to speak and read English. The app is targeted at a particular age group (5-6yrs) to provide the fundamentals of English, but younger children could benefit as well from several of the easy and fun activities."
